Connect Pipedrive to automatically sync your pursuits as Deals and your companies as Organizations — no manual data entry between SamSearch and your CRM.
This is a shared, org-wide connection, and connecting or disconnecting it requires the owner or admin role on your SamSearch account. You must also have permission to authorize third-party apps in your Pipedrive account — if you’re not a Pipedrive admin, ask one to approve the connection.

What this integration does

  • Pursuits sync as a Deal, using custom fields (mirroring HubSpot’s setup) to carry SamSearch-specific data
  • Companies sync as Organizations, with a linked Person
  • Syncing is real-time — it fires the moment you save a pursuit or change its status, not on a delay
  • Before creating a Deal, SamSearch checks for an existing match to avoid creating a duplicate

Part 1 — Connect Pipedrive

1

Open Integrations

In the left sidebar, scroll to Account and click Integrations.
2

Find the Pipedrive card

Scroll to the CRM section. The Pipedrive card shows your current connection status.
3

Click Connect Pipedrive

Click Connect on the Pipedrive card. Because this is a shared, org-wide connection, a confirmation dialog explains that every team member will share it and see synced data — SamSearch recommends using a dedicated work account (e.g. ops@yourcompany.com) rather than a personal one. Click I understand connect Pipedrive to proceed.
4

Authenticate with Pipedrive

A popup opens for you to log in to Pipedrive and authorize SamSearch. Choose the Pipedrive company account you want to connect and grant the requested access.
5

Map your pipeline stages

The popup closes, the Pipedrive card shows Connected, and the Configure panel opens automatically. Map each SamSearch pipeline column to a Pipedrive pipeline stage, then click Save. If no stages appear, reconnect to refresh the list.
On first connect, SamSearch copies every existing pursuit into Pipedrive as a Deal — you’ll see the card in a Syncing state with a live counter until it finishes. See Connection states for what each card state means, including what an expired connection looks like.
If you connected Pipedrive a while ago, reconnect it once. Newer connections include an extra permission that makes syncing faster; older ones still work, just more slowly. Reconnecting is harmless either way.

Troubleshooting

Deals aren’t showing up in Pipedrive
  • Confirm the integration status is Connected on the Integrations page — an expired or revoked token shows as an Error state with a Reconnect link.
  • Confirm you completed the stage-mapping step in Configure; syncing needs a mapped stage for the pursuit’s current column.
  • Syncing fires on save or status change; editing unrelated fields won’t trigger a new sync.
  • Check that you connected the Pipedrive account that matches the pipeline you’re expecting deals in.
I’m seeing duplicate deals
  • If a deal was created manually in Pipedrive before connecting, it won’t automatically merge with the synced deal — merge it manually in Pipedrive.
The OAuth popup closes without connecting
  • Make sure pop-ups aren’t blocked for SamSearch in your browser.
  • Confirm you have permission to install apps in your Pipedrive account.
