What is the Canada Source?

The Canada source pulls procurement opportunities from across the Canadian public sector — federal departments, provincial governments, municipalities, and education institutions. Canadian opportunities appear in SamSearch search results and can be saved, added to Journey Hub, and analyzed with Sammy, just like any other source.

Enabling Canada in Your Profile

Canada can be enabled or hidden per AI Profile:
  1. Go to Account → Company Profile
  2. Click the Sources & Alerts tab
  3. Find Canada in the Opportunity Sources list
  4. Toggle AI recommendations on to include Canada in your recommendations feed
  5. Confirm Hide is off so Canada appears in Search
You can also drag the Canada row to reorder it relative to other sources — this controls its tab position on the Search page.

Searching Canada Opportunities

On the Search page, select the Canada source tab to search exclusively across Canadian opportunities. You can also include Canada in a Multi-Source search alongside Federal, SLED, and other sources. Search works identically to other sources — both Smart Search (natural language) and Keyword Search (boolean operators) are supported.

Common filters for Canada

  • Province / Territory — Filter by province or territory (e.g., Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta)
  • Posted Date / Due Date — Same date range filters as other sources
  • Keywords — Use English or French keywords; the search engine handles both

Canada Contract Pages

Canada opportunity pages show:
  • Title and procurement reference number
  • Issuing organization — the department, agency, province, or institution posting the opportunity
  • Procurement category — goods, services, construction, IT, etc.
  • Posted date and closing date
  • Estimated value (where published)
  • Full description and requirements
  • Attachments — RFP documents, appendices, addenda
  • AI Match Score and qualification summary
Sammy can analyze any Canada opportunity the same way it analyzes federal or SLED contracts — requirements, compliance, fit assessment, and proposal assistance.

Saving and Pursuing Canada Opportunities

  • Save to Leads — Add any Canada opportunity to your Saved Opportunities list
  • Start Journey — Create a Journey Hub pursuit for the opportunity
  • Generate Proposal — Draft a proposal using your profile and uploaded documents
