How It Works
The AI analyzes your Business Description, NAICS codes, certifications, operating regions, and Deal Makers/Breakers to score incoming opportunities from 0–100%. Only high-scoring matches appear in your feed.1
Complete Your Profile
Add your business description, NAICS codes, certifications, and Deal Makers/Breakers in Company Profile. The more complete your profile, the better the matches.

Refresh Recommendations
Click Refresh Recommendations to run a new analysis. The AI scans all sources and scores opportunities against your profile.

Review Your Matches
Browse recommended opportunities sorted by match score. Each card shows why it is a strong fit.

Take Action
Save to Leads, start a Journey, or open the full opportunity to analyze with Sammy.
Tabs
The Recommendations page has three tabs:- All — Every recommended opportunity across all sources in one view
- Profile — AI-matched opportunities based on your company profile
- Saved Searches — Recommendations pulled from your saved searches with alerts enabled
Refreshing
Click Refresh Recommendations (top right) to trigger a new batch. The button shows status as it runs: Starting… → Recommendations Running → complete. Each account has a daily refresh limit shown below the button as N of N refreshes remaining today. The count resets daily.If a refresh fails, a banner appears with error details. Contact support@samsearch.co if the issue persists.
Activity strip
An activity strip at the top of the Recommendations page shows the work behind your matches — how many opportunities were scanned, evaluated, and matched in the latest run.
Reading Your Results
Match Score
Each card shows a score from 0–100% indicating fit quality:View Analysis
Click View Analysis on any card to open a detailed AI breakdown:- Alignment summary — how well the opportunity maps to your capabilities, certifications, and NAICS codes
- Strengths — what makes this a strong fit
- Gaps — areas where your profile may fall short
- Recommendation — Bid / Bid with Caution / Don’t Bid
Match score reasoning on opportunity pages
Opportunity pages now show the same match score alongside the reasoning behind it — what lines up with your profile, and where it’s a stretch — so you can see why something scored the way it did without leaving the opportunity.
Training the AI
Click thumbs up or thumbs down on any card to give feedback. The AI uses this signal to improve future recommendations:- Thumbs up — More like this
- Thumbs down — Less like this
Consistent thumbs up/down feedback significantly improves match quality over time.
Filtering & Sorting
- Match Score slider — Set a minimum threshold; recommendations below it are hidden
- Opportunity Sources — Show only specific types (All Sources, Federal, SLED, Grants, Forecast, Recompete, Subcontracting, DIBBS, SBIR/STTRs, Canada)
- Sort by — Match Score (High to Low), Posted Date, Due Date
Acting on Recommendations
For each recommended opportunity:- View Analysis — AI-generated alignment breakdown with strengths, gaps, and bid recommendation
- Thumbs up / down — Train the AI on what fits your business
- Save to Leads — Add to your Saved Opportunities list
- Start Journey — Create a pursuit in Journey Hub
- Archive — Move out of your active view without dismissing
- Dismiss — Remove from your list
Email Alerts
Get new recommendations delivered to your inbox. Toggle Email Notifications on in the Sources & Alerts tab of your Company Profile, then set up a Saved Search to define what triggers alerts.Improving Your Recommendations
Note: Documents uploaded to your Company Profile are used for proposal generation and Sammy context — they do not affect your recommendation results. To improve recommendations, refine your Business Description, NAICS codes, and Deal Makers/Breakers.
Update your profile whenever your services, certifications, or target market changes to keep recommendations accurate.
