Forecasts are advance intelligence, not active solicitations. You cannot apply from a Forecast page. Use them to prepare your pipeline and team, then watch for the solicitation in Federal Search.
Forecasts show contracts agencies expect to award in a future fiscal quarter — agency planning data, not a posted RFP. Because there’s nothing to respond to yet, a Forecast page has no fixed Due Date the way a solicitation does. Instead, timing is expressed as an Award Quarter and Fiscal Year — the window the agency currently expects to make the award in, not a submission deadline.

Estimated Contract Value

A headline dollar figure at the top of the page. When SamSearch has an AI-inferred value range for this requirement, that range is shown (and badged as AI-generated) in preference to the agency’s own raw estimate — the AI range is usually the more current number. Performance Period dates appear alongside it when the agency has published them.

Linked Recompete Contracts

When SamSearch has matched this forecast to one or more expiring contracts in Recompete, a Linked Recompete Contracts card appears just below the estimated value, with a match count. Each match shows the contract’s title, incumbent vendor, value, end date, and NAICS, and opens that contract’s Recompete page — useful for sizing up the incumbent and the current contract before the follow-on is solicited. Matches are made automatically, either from a shared contract number, solicitation ID, or parent vehicle, or from a close NAICS, agency, and title/description match. Forecasts marked as a New Requirement are never linked, since there’s no existing contract to recompete. The same link shows up on the Recompete side as Agency Forecast Confirmed.
