Awards dashboard overview ## Overview The Awards feature provides detailed information on past federal contract awards, enabling you to make data-driven decisions for your government contracting strategy. View detailed information on past federal contract awards Analyze spending trends and patterns over time Track competitor performance and market share Examine transaction-level details and modifications ## Award Details Each award record includes comprehensive information to help you understand the full scope of a contract. * Total obligation amounts * Payment patterns over time * Funding sources and allocations * Award timelines and dates * Contract duration and key milestones * Transaction dates * Contract details and terms * Contract modifications * Modification reasons and justifications * Vendor performance data * Transaction history * Contract amendments ### Viewing Transactions Drill down into individual transactions to see granular details: * Payment patterns over time * Contract modifications and amendments * Funding sources * Transaction dates and amounts * Modification reasons Transaction details view ## Analytics & Insights ### Spending Trends View interactive charts to understand procurement patterns and identify opportunities. Track award trends over time to identify growth or decline in specific markets. Identify seasonal fluctuations in procurement activity and peak procurement periods. Understand budget cycles and spending patterns to time your proposals effectively. Monitor changes in government priorities and emerging focus areas. Spending trends visualization ### Agency Analytics Generate comprehensive reports to understand agency spending behavior: * Agency spending breakdowns * Sub-agency spending comparisons * Spending by PSC (Product Service Code) * Spending by NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) code Use filters and interactive charts to focus on the data most relevant to your business. ### Competitive Intelligence Analyze competitor activity to gain strategic market insights: See who is winning contracts in your market and their win rates by agency and contract type. Review market share by vendor to understand competitive positioning. Understand what types of contracts competitors are winning and which agencies they're most active in. Competitive intelligence dashboard ## Use Cases ### Finding Target Agencies Use awards data to identify agencies that align with your business capabilities. Start by filtering by your NAICS or PSC codes to narrow down relevant opportunities. Look for agencies that frequently award contracts in your industry. Focus on agencies that award contracts in your company's size range (small business, 8(a), etc.). Review historical patterns to understand procurement cycles and timing. An agency's spending patterns in your area should align with their mission and budget size. ### Benchmarking Your Pricing Compare your pricing strategy against historical awards to ensure competitiveness. Search for awards similar to your offerings (same NAICS/PSC, scope, size). Review contract values and obligation amounts across multiple awards. Analyze pricing trends over time to understand market rate changes. Develop competitive pricing that aligns with market expectations. When benchmarking pricing, ensure you're looking at similar contract types, scopes, and requirements. Compare apples to apples. ### Understanding Market Dynamics Identify trends and opportunities in your target market. Review spending patterns over multiple years to identify long-term trends. Identify when spending is increasing or decreasing in your area. Look for seasonal patterns in contract awards to time your proposals. Spot emerging opportunities based on budget cycles and priority shifts. ### Analyzing Your Competition Study competitor activity to inform your business development strategy. Search by vendor name to find their award history. Analyze their win rates and contract history. Identify agencies where they're most successful. Find markets with less competition. Understand their pricing and market positioning. Competitor analysis view ## Best Practices Start with your specific NAICS or PSC codes rather than browsing all awards. This will give you the most relevant insights and save time. Review multi-year data to understand patterns rather than focusing on individual awards. Trends reveal opportunities that single data points cannot. An agency's spending patterns in your area should align with their mission and budget size. Don't expect small agencies to have large contract volumes. When benchmarking pricing or analyzing competition, ensure you're looking at similar contract types, scopes, and requirements. Don't just look at initial award amounts. Review transactions to understand how contracts evolve through modifications and extensions. **Pro Tip:** Combine multiple filters to narrow down your analysis. For example, filter by NAICS code, agency, and contract size simultaneously to find the most relevant comparable awards. # Company Profile Source: https://docs.samsearch.co/features/business-profile Set up one or more AI Profiles to power personalized recommendations, opportunity matching, and proposal generation The more complete your Company Profile, the better your AI recommendations, opportunity matches, and proposal drafts will be. Company Profile page showing AI Profiles and tab navigation ## AI Profiles SamSearch supports up to **3 AI Profiles** per account — one for each business entity, division, or subsidiary you want to pursue opportunities under. The profile selector at the top of the page shows all your profiles with their **match-readiness score** (e.g., 83% match-ready). **Everything you configure in the tabs below applies to the selected profile only.** Switch profiles using the selector before making changes. Click any profile card at the top to make it active. All tab settings apply to that profile. Click **New AI Profile** to create a profile for a second company, division, or subsidiary. ### Match-readiness Each profile displays a match-readiness percentage. A completion prompt — e.g., "Finish 1 field to make \[Profile] fully match-ready" — tells you exactly what to add. Click **Finish setup** to jump to that field. ## Profile Tabs The primary place to describe your business for AI-powered matching. ### AI Profile Generator Enter your **Company Website** URL and click **Generate Profile** — the AI analyzes your site and auto-fills your Business Description, Operating Regions, and suggests certifications. ### Fields **Business Description** — A comprehensive description of your capabilities and expertise. The AI uses this to match opportunities and draft proposals. A green checkmark appears when complete. **Operating Regions** — States, regions, or areas where your business can perform work (e.g., DMV area, Nationwide, Remote, United States, Worldwide). Multi-select tag field. **Certifications** — Business certifications, credentials, and set-asides such as 8(a), Woman-Owned, SDVOSB, HUBZone, ISO. Select from the dropdown or type to search. ### Deal Makers & Deal Breakers Fine-tune which opportunities the AI surfaces by adding explicit inclusion and exclusion rules. **Deal Makers** — Keywords or phrases that signal a good opportunity. Opportunities containing these terms are ranked higher in your recommendations. Examples: "SDVOSB set-aside", "8(a) sole source", "cloud migration". **Deal Breakers** — Keywords or phrases that disqualify an opportunity. Opportunities containing these are filtered out. Examples: "TS/SCI clearance required", "construction", "foreign-owned". ### Positive & Negative Keywords In addition to Deal Makers/Breakers, you can add **Positive Keywords** (boosted in recommendations) and **Negative Keywords** (suppressed). These apply across Search and Recommendations to surface more relevant results. Click **Save Profile** to save your changes. If you have a company website, enter the URL — the AI can analyze it and generate your full profile in seconds. ### Profile Shortcuts Switch between your AI Profiles without going to the Company Profile page: * **Alt + 1** — Switch to Profile 1 * **Alt + 2** — Switch to Profile 2 * **Alt + 3** — Switch to Profile 3 (if created) The active profile name appears in the top-left corner of the app. Core company details used in proposals and solicitation responses. ### Company Information * **Company Name** — The name to use when responding to solicitations * **Company Address** — The address to use when responding to solicitations ### Government Identifiers * **UEI** — Your 12-character SAM.gov Unique Entity Identifier * **CAGE Code** — Your 5-character DoD CAGE Code ### Certifications Tag-style field — type a certification and press Enter to add it (e.g., 8(a), Woman-Owned, SDVOSB, HUBZone, ISO). Click **Save Profile Information** to save your changes. UEI and CAGE Code are required for federal contracting but optional for using SamSearch. Add them when you have them. Control which opportunity sources feed your AI recommendations and email alerts. ### Email Notifications Toggle **Email Notifications** on or off to receive (or stop receiving) opportunity alerts via email for this profile. ### Opportunity Sources Each source has two independent controls: * **AI recommendations** — include this source in your personalized recommendations feed * **Hide** — remove this source from the app entirely for this profile Drag the handle on the left of each row to reorder sources. This order is reflected on the Search page. | Source | Description | | ------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Federal Opportunities** | SAM.gov contracts and solicitations | | **State & Local (SLED)** | State, Local, and Education opportunities | | **Grants** | Federal and state grant opportunities | | **Forecast** | Upcoming procurement forecasts | | **Recompete** | Expiring contracts available for recompete | | **Subcontracting** | Subcontracting opportunities | | **DIBBS** | Defense Logistics Agency opportunities | | **SBIR/STTRs** | Small Business Innovation Research and Technology Transfer | | **Canada** | Canadian federal, provincial, municipal, and education opportunities | Email alerts work in tandem with your Saved Searches. Enable email notifications here, then set up a saved search to get new matching opportunities delivered to your inbox. [Learn more →](/features/saved-searches) Upload company documents the AI uses to **generate proposals** and give Sammy more context about your business. Documents do not affect your recommendations or search results. They are used for proposal generation and to give Sammy better context when you chat. ### Uploading Documents Click the upload area or drag and drop files. Supported formats: **PDF and Word (.docx)** only. Select the document type before uploading: Capabilities Statement, Past Performance Records, Certifications, Financial Statements, Technical Proposals, or Company Brochures. ### Bulk Import from Google Drive If your Google Workspace integration is connected, click **Import from Google Drive** to select and upload multiple documents at once from your Drive. This is the fastest way to populate your document library. [Connect Google Workspace →](/features/integrations) ### Managing Documents Documents are organized by type. Click any category to expand and view individual files. Each document can be viewed, downloaded, or deleted. If you offer different services (e.g., construction and IT), upload separate capability statements for each. When generating a proposal, select only the documents most relevant to that specific opportunity. **Agent Memories** are key facts Sammy has learned about your business through your conversations. They help Sammy give more personalized, relevant responses over time. Memories are split into two categories: * **Company Memories** — Facts about your business: capabilities, certifications, NAICS codes, past performance highlights, contract vehicles, teaming partners, preferred agencies. These are shared across your team. * **Personal Memories** — Facts about you as an individual: your role, preferences, communication style, prior conversation context. These are private to your account. From this tab you can view everything Sammy currently knows, delete any memory you no longer want stored, or update information by chatting with Sammy directly. To add or correct a memory, tell Sammy in chat — for example: "Update my primary NAICS to 541511" or "Forget my old address." Sammy will confirm and update its memory. [Chat with Sammy →](/features/chat) ## Why Your Profile Matters Your certifications, business description, and operating regions drive personalized opportunity matches on the Recommendations page. Your uploaded documents, business description, and past performance are used to generate first-draft proposals automatically. Your Business Description, NAICS codes, certifications, and Deal Makers/Breakers drive search results and AI recommendations. Sammy uses your profile and uploaded documents to give tailored answers about opportunities, regulations, and your competitive fit. ## Common Questions **Q: What are AI Profiles for?** A: Each AI Profile is a separate identity — useful if your company bids as different entities (e.g., a prime and a subsidiary), operates in distinct industries, or has a mentor-protege arrangement. Each profile gets its own recommendations, source preferences, and documents. **Q: How often should I update my profile?** A: Review it whenever your services, certifications, or contact information change — at minimum quarterly. **Q: What if I don't have a UEI or CAGE Code yet?** A: You can create and use your profile without them. Add them later — they're required for federal contracting but not for using SamSearch. **Q: How does my profile affect search results?** A: Your certifications and capabilities help the AI surface more relevant opportunities. Your source order in Sources & Alerts also controls the tab order on the Search page. # Chat with Sammy Source: https://docs.samsearch.co/features/chat Your AI assistant for opportunity analysis, proposal writing, research, and document OCR Sammy is SamSearch's built-in AI assistant. Ask anything about government contracting — decode an RFP, research agencies, draft proposal sections, look up regulations, or extract data from documents. Sammy chat interface ## The Chat Interface Sammy lives under **Tools → Chat with Sammy** in the left sidebar. The interface has two sections: **Left sidebar — Chat history** * **Search chats** — find any previous conversation by keyword * **New chat** button — start a fresh session * All past conversations, labeled by topic **Main area** * The active conversation thread * **Pinned prompts** — quick-access shortcuts for your most common tasks * **Browse prompt library** — 100+ expert-crafted prompts organized by task type * **Ask anything** input bar at the bottom, with a voice dictation button ## What Sammy Can Do Break down any RFP — requirements, evaluation criteria, compliance needs, set-aside status, and your fit against each section Draft, improve, expand, or stress-test proposal sections against solicitation requirements Ask anything about government contracting — agencies, FAR/DFAR regulations, NAICS codes, PSC codes, set-asides, past awards, market trends Upload any PDF or image (scanned solicitations, quote forms, price lists) and Sammy extracts text, tables, and line items When you open Sammy from a contract page, Journey, or proposal editor, Sammy already knows what you are looking at — no need to copy-paste Draft cold emails to contracting officers or teaming partners directly from Market Watch contact profiles ## Prompt Library Click **Browse prompt library** to open a curated collection of prompts for common contracting tasks. Categories include: * Opportunity qualification and go/no-go frameworks * Competitive landscape research * Proposal section drafts (technical approach, past performance, management plan, executive summary) * FAR/DFAR regulation lookups * NAICS and PSC code research * Agency and contracting officer research * Teaming partner outreach Click any prompt to load it into the chat input, then customize it for your situation. ### Saving & Pinning Prompts * **Save a prompt** — After crafting a prompt that works well, click the bookmark icon to save it to your personal library * **Pin a prompt** — Click the pin icon on any saved prompt to add it to the **Pinned prompts** row at the top of the chat input. Pinned prompts are one click away every session * **Reuse saved prompts** — Access all your saved prompts from the prompt library under the **My Prompts** tab ## Analyzing an Opportunity with Sammy When you open any opportunity in SamSearch and click the Sammy chat icon, Sammy loads with the full solicitation already in context — attachments, RFP PDFs, and all metadata. You do not need to copy-paste anything. Navigate to any Federal, SLED, DIBBS, or other opportunity detail page Sammy opens pre-loaded with the opportunity documents and details Examples: "What are the evaluation criteria?", "Is this set aside for small businesses?", "What past performance volume is required?" Sammy cites the specific page and section where each answer comes from Click any source reference to see the highlighted text in the document viewer ## OCR Capability Sammy can read scanned PDFs, images, and other documents that are not machine-readable. Upload any file directly into the chat and ask Sammy to extract its contents. Common uses: * Extract line items and part numbers from DiBBS solicitation PDFs * Read scanned certifications or past performance records * Pull pricing data from supplier quote sheets * Convert a paper RFP into structured text for analysis For DiBBS opportunities, Sammy's OCR automatically extracts quote form fields, which then feed directly into the proposal generation flow. ## Page Awareness Sammy is context-aware across the entire app. When you open Sammy from: * **A contract page** — Sammy has the solicitation documents, NAICS codes, set-aside status, and due dates in context * **A Journey** — Sammy knows your win themes, tasks, compliance matrix, and proposal status * **The Proposal Editor** — Sammy can see the draft text and help refine specific sections * **Market Watch** — Sammy can draft outreach emails to contracting officers you are researching ## Writing Proposals with Sammy In the Proposal Editor, highlight any text and ask Sammy for help: * "Make this more concise" * "Does this address the requirement in Section L.4?" * "Rewrite this to emphasize our past performance" * "Add specific metrics to strengthen this paragraph" Sammy returns a suggestion you can insert below, replace the selected text with, or discard. ## Memory Sammy remembers key facts about your company from your Company Profile and previous conversations. Memories are split into two types: * **Company Memories** — Capabilities, certifications, NAICS codes, past performance highlights, contract vehicles (shared across your team) * **Personal Memories** — Your role, preferences, and conversation context (private to your account) View and manage memories in the [Memories tab](/features/business-profile#memories) of your Company Profile. To update what Sammy knows, just tell it: * "Forget my old NAICS code and use 541512." * "We now have a CMMC Level 1 certification." * "Our focus market is DoD cybersecurity." ## Tips "What compliance requirements apply to this contract?" gets a better answer than "Tell me about this opportunity." Tell Sammy who you are: "We're a woman-owned small business with 5 years in IT managed services…" Start broad, then drill down: "What are the key requirements?" → "Do we meet the past performance standard?" Always cross-reference critical compliance or legal information with the actual solicitation document. Sammy is a research and drafting assistant, not a substitute for legal or compliance review. For high-stakes decisions, consult your legal team or the contracting officer directly. ## FAQ Yes. Your personal chat sessions are private to your account. Chats opened from within a Journey are shared with your team members who have access to that Journey. Yes. Hover over any chat in the left sidebar and click the delete icon. Sammy reads your Company Profile — business description, certifications, NAICS codes, and uploaded documents. The more complete your profile, the more relevant Sammy's answers will be. Rephrase, add more context, or follow up with a correction. You can also click source citations to verify the answer directly in the document. Yes. Sammy uses OCR to extract text from scanned PDFs and images. Upload the file directly in the chat input. # Contract Page Overview Source: https://docs.samsearch.co/features/contract-overview Navigate contract detail pages across Federal, DIBBS, SLED, Recompete, and other sources Contract detail pages vary by source. Each layout shows different fields, sidebars, and tools — use the guide that matches where you found the opportunity. When you click a result from [Search](/features/search), you open a source-specific contract page at `app.samsearch.co/contract/[source]/[id]`. ## What's the same on every contract page Regardless of source, most contract pages include: | Element | What it does | | ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Smart Summary** | AI-generated overview of the opportunity | | **Save** | Bookmarks the contract to [Saved Opportunities](/features/leads) | | **Start Journey** | Creates a [Journey Hub](/features/journey-hub) entry to track your bid | | **View** | Opens the original listing on the source platform (not available on Recompete) | | **New Chat** | Opens [Chat with Sammy](/features/chat) pre-loaded with this contract's context | Some sources add **Email Contact** (Forecasts, Subcontracting) or other source-specific actions. ## Choose your source guide | Source | What it is | Key differentiators | | ------------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------- | | [Federal](/features/contract-overview/federal) | SAM.gov solicitations | Market Intelligence tabs, History timeline, Contact & Location | | [DIBBS](/features/contract-overview/dibbs) | DLA supply opportunities | Purchase Requests table, Pricing Calculator, Procurement History | | [Forecasts](/features/contract-overview/forecasts) | Predicted future awards | Award FY/Quarter, AI Insights — not live solicitations | | [SLED](/features/contract-overview/sled) | State, local, education RFPs | Level/Jurisdiction, multiple date fields, state portals | | [Recompete](/features/contract-overview/recompete) | Expiring contract intelligence | Opportunity Scores, Incumbent Contractor — not new solicitations | | [Subcontracting](/features/contract-overview/subcontracting) | Prime subcontracting needs | Prime Contractor card, Confidence Level, parent contract link | | [Grants](/features/contract-overview/grants) | Federal grant funding | CFDA, Award Floor/Ceiling, Eligible Applicants | | [SBIR/STTR](/features/contract-overview/sbir-sttr) | R\&D topic solicitations | Phase I/II/III, Pre-release/Open/Closed status | **Forecasts** and **Recompete** pages show advance intelligence — not active solicitations you can bid on today. Use them for pipeline planning; watch Search for the live posting. ## Quick workflow Get the AI overview before diving into attachments or sidebars. Use the guide for your source — grants use CFDA; DIBBS uses NSN and Pricing Calculator. On Federal contracts, use Market Intelligence and the **Partnerships** tab. Or search the full [Partnerships](/features/partnerships) directory. Save, start a journey, or open New Chat to ask Sammy about requirements. # Canada Opportunities Source: https://docs.samsearch.co/features/contract-overview/canada Federal, provincial, municipal, and education procurement opportunities from across Canada Canada launched in SamSearch at the end of July 2026. Enable it in your [Sources & Alerts](/features/business-profile#sources--alerts) settings to include Canadian opportunities in your recommendations and search results. ## What is the Canada Source? The Canada source pulls procurement opportunities from across the Canadian public sector — federal departments, provincial governments, municipalities, and education institutions. Canadian opportunities appear in SamSearch search results and can be saved, added to Journey Hub, and analyzed with Sammy, just like any other source. ## Coverage | Level | Examples | | -------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Federal** | Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), National Defence, RCMP, Canada Border Services, and all federal departments via CanadaBuys | | **Provincial** | BC Bid, MERX, APC Tender Management, Saskatchewan Government, Alberta Purchasing Connection, and other provincial procurement portals | | **Municipal** | City and regional procurement portals across major metro areas | | **Education** | Universities, colleges, and school boards | ## Enabling Canada in Your Profile Canada can be enabled or hidden per AI Profile: 1. Go to **Account → Company Profile** 2. Click the **Sources & Alerts** tab 3. Find **Canada** in the Opportunity Sources list 4. Toggle **AI recommendations** on to include Canada in your recommendations feed 5. Confirm **Hide** is off so Canada appears in Search You can also drag the Canada row to reorder it relative to other sources — this controls its tab position on the Search page. ## Searching Canada Opportunities On the **Search** page, select the **Canada** source tab to search exclusively across Canadian opportunities. You can also include Canada in a **Multi-Source** search alongside Federal, SLED, and other sources. Search works identically to other sources — both Smart Search (natural language) and Keyword Search (boolean operators) are supported. ### Common filters for Canada * **Province / Territory** — Filter by province or territory (e.g., Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta) * **Posted Date / Due Date** — Same date range filters as other sources * **Keywords** — Use English or French keywords; the search engine handles both ## Canada Contract Pages Canada opportunity pages show: * **Title** and procurement reference number * **Issuing organization** — the department, agency, province, or institution posting the opportunity * **Procurement category** — goods, services, construction, IT, etc. * **Posted date and closing date** * **Estimated value** (where published) * **Full description and requirements** * **Attachments** — RFP documents, appendices, addenda * **AI Match Score** and qualification summary Sammy can analyze any Canada opportunity the same way it analyzes federal or SLED contracts — requirements, compliance, fit assessment, and proposal assistance. ## Saving and Pursuing Canada Opportunities * **Save to Leads** — Add any Canada opportunity to your Saved Opportunities list * **Start Journey** — Create a Journey Hub pursuit for the opportunity * **Generate Proposal** — Draft a proposal using your profile and uploaded documents ## Frequently Asked Questions No — the source is available to all SamSearch accounts. Whether you are eligible to bid on a specific Canadian procurement depends on the issuing agency's rules, not SamSearch. Yes — federal Canadian procurements are posted in both English and French. SamSearch displays and searches both languages. Canada opportunities are indexed on the same schedule as other sources — typically within 1–4 hours of posting. Yes — enable email notifications in Sources & Alerts, then create a Saved Search with the Canada source and your desired keywords. New matching opportunities will be emailed on your configured frequency. Yes — SamSearch has a 5-business-day SLA to add any missing source. SLED contract page header and summary Many SLED opportunities require registration on a separate state portal (e.g., JAGGAER, Periscope, COMMBUYS) before submitting. SamSearch surfaces the opportunity; submission happens on the state's platform. ## Badge types | Badge | Meaning | | ------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ | | **ITQ** | Invitation to Qualify — pre-qualification before full solicitation | | **RFP** | Request for Proposal | | **RFQ** | Request for Quotation | | **IFB** | Invitation for Bid | ## Header * Badge, **ID**, **Title** * **Agency** — specific agency or "All Using Agencies" * **Buyer**, **Level** (State, County, City, Education), **State**, **Jurisdiction** ## Date fields SLED pages may show four dates — they serve different purposes: | Field | Typical meaning | | ---------------- | --------------------------------------------- | | **Last Updated** | Most recent change to the posting | | **Publish Date** | When first published on the portal | | **Post Date** | Portal display date (may differ from publish) | | **Due Date** | Response or qualification deadline | Open-ended ITQs may show distant post dates — read the description for actual submission windows. ## Main sections ### Smart Summary AI overview of the opportunity and requirements. ### Description Often includes external portal instructions and registration steps. ### Attachments ITQ forms, certifications, statements of work — **Summarize**, **View**, **Download** per file. ### Timeline sidebar Start Date, Publish Date, Last Updated, Due Date, Close Date. ### Key Details sidebar Type, Status (Open/Closed/Cancelled), Location, Product/Service, RFX Type, NAICS Code. ### Similar Opportunities Related SLED solicitations in the same jurisdiction or category. Use the **Live Support** chat in the bottom-left sidebar or email [support@samsearch.co](mailto:support@samsearch.co). ## Contract Discovery & Sources Yes — full federal coverage via SAM.gov, including all agencies and sub-agencies. 50,000+ SLED agencies across 12,000+ websites, all in one unified search. Yes — SamSearch pulls directly from university, school board, and state education sites, not just aggregators. Yes — Canada launched in late July 2026. Coverage includes federal (CanadaBuys/PWGSC), provincial, municipal, and education institutions. Enable it under Sources & Alerts in your Company Profile. [Learn more →](/features/contract-overview/canada) Federal contracts are typically indexed within 1–4 hours of posting on SAM.gov. State and local contracts are updated on similar cadences. Amendment alerts fire in real time when a tracked contract receives an update. Yes — add SamSearch as a Point of Contact in your GSA eBuy profile using a generated email address. Private RFQs from your GSA schedule then appear in SamSearch under the GSA eBuy source. [Setup guide →](/features/gsa-ebuy-integration) Yes — NSNs, approved sources, manufacturer part numbers, and past award pricing are all surfaced. Sammy can also read DiBBS quote forms via OCR and help you fill and price them. Email [support@samsearch.co](mailto:support@samsearch.co) with the URL. SamSearch has a **5-business-day SLA** to add any missing source. Daily deduplication is in place. Amendment tracking consolidates postings within a single contract view so you see updates, not duplicates. No — SamSearch covers government procurement only (federal, state, local, subcontracting, and Canadian public sector). ## Search & Recommendations **Smart Search** uses AI intent matching — it finds semantically related contracts even when the title does not match your query. **Keyword Search** uses boolean AND/OR/NOT operators for exact matching. An AI query builder is available to help construct complex boolean queries from plain English. No. The match score (e.g. 83%) reflects how well the opportunity aligns to your company profile — not your probability of winning. Win probability is estimated in the **Insights** tab inside Journey Hub, once you add the contract to a pursuit. Yes. SamSearch uses full-profile comprehension, not keyword-to-keyword matching. The AI understands that "human factors engineering," "UX research," and "service design" can describe the same capability. Sammy can also help you expand your profile with synonyms and related terms mined from a specific solicitation. The semantic matching engine catches contracts even when titles are mislabeled or abbreviated. The like/dislike feedback loop on recommendations also trains the model over time. Most common causes: (1) AI qualification toggle is on for a broad saved search — narrow it or turn it off; (2) Deal Makers/Breakers are too restrictive — review them in Company Profile; (3) wrong search mode — try Smart Search for broad discovery, Keyword Search for precise control. Usually caused by: AI qualification filtering too aggressively, Deal Breakers excluding too many opportunities, or not all relevant sources being enabled in Sources & Alerts. Check that Federal, SLED, and other relevant sources have AI recommendations turned on. Yes — type the sub-agency name in the sub-agency filter field on the Search page. Note that some smaller offices may not appear if they are not listed separately in SAM.gov data. Yes — create multiple AI Profiles (up to 3 per account), each with its own recommendations, Deal Makers/Breakers, and Journey Hub. Useful for companies serving distinct markets like federal IT vs. state construction. ## Company Profile & Documents Enter your company website URL and click **Generate Profile** — the AI crawls your site and auto-populates NAICS codes, PSC codes, business description, operating regions, certifications, and keywords. You review and approve every field. Capability statements, past performance records, proposals (won and lost), case studies, certifications, white papers, and product/service catalogs. These are used for **proposal generation** and to give Sammy better context — they do not affect recommendations. No. Documents are used exclusively for proposal generation and Sammy context. To improve recommendations, refine your Business Description, NAICS codes, certifications, and Deal Makers/Breakers. Documents over 500 pages are excluded from AI indexing. Split large documents or contact support for assistance. Yes — bulk import from Google Drive is supported if you have the Google Workspace integration connected. The integration is one-way: Drive to SamSearch. [Set up Google Workspace →](/features/integrations) No — all data is encrypted at rest and in transit. SamSearch staff do not have access to your documents. AI models are not trained on your data. For clients with MSAs that restrict data disclosure, we recommend consulting legal counsel on what to upload vs. redact. Yes — upload multiple capability statements organized by type. When generating a proposal, select only the documents relevant to that specific opportunity. Sammy can also generate a custom capability statement draft for any solicitation. ## Proposal Writing No. SamSearch has a strict **anti-hallucination policy** — the AI only writes from documents and data you have provided. Any field it cannot populate is flagged as a human task rather than fabricated. Yes — upload your own template. Two default templates are also available out of the box. Contact [support@samsearch.co](mailto:support@samsearch.co) to configure a custom template. Yes — both Word (.docx) and PDF are supported export formats. Google Docs sync is also available. Upload past proposals and past performance documents to your Documents tab. The platform uses them as a style and content reference. Tagging past proposals as won or lost improves output quality over time. Yes — form fields are auto-populated in **green** (filled from your known data) vs. **yellow** (needs your input). Sammy can fill remaining fields via chat. Yes — Sammy reads DiBBS quote forms via OCR (including scanned images), recommends pricing based on your documents, surfaces incumbent pricing for comparison where available, and outputs pre-filled quote data as CSV or PDF. ## Journey Hub & Pipeline **Save** bookmarks the contract to your Saved Opportunities list. **Start Journey** opens the full pursuit workspace — tasks, documents, compliance matrix, strategy insights, and proposal generation. Merging a recompete with an existing opportunity is in development. The current workaround is amendment alerts — a yellow icon on the journey flags new activity when a linked solicitation is updated. Yes — you receive an in-app notification and an email alert when a tracked contract receives a new amendment. Date-range filtering is available; sort-by-date is on the roadmap. ## Market Watch & Intelligence Yes — Market Watch shows top award recipients by NAICS/PSC code and agency. Sammy can also research competitor awards and subawards directly via chat. Federal historical award data is live. SLED historical award and recompete data is coming before end of Q3 2026. Yes for federal — incumbent contractor, offer count, vendor change rate, agency buying patterns, and contracting officer contact are all surfaced. SLED equivalent is in development. Yes — approximately 95% coverage on offeror count. Offeror identities are not available, only the count and the incumbent. Available when publicly published in award documents. Line-item pricing is often absent from public records. Sammy can surface what is available via chat. ## Integrations Yes — all three are live and in beta. Deals are pushed automatically on pursuit save or status change. HubSpot can be configured to trigger only on opportunities above a score threshold (e.g. 80+). [Learn more →](/features/integrations) Yes — Google Workspace (Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar) and Microsoft Workspace (OneDrive, Outlook, Outlook Calendar) are both available. Note that Google Drive integration is **one-way** — from Drive into SamSearch. Slack is live — connect it under Account → Integrations to receive pursuit alerts, @mentions, and AI-matched leads in your channels. Microsoft Teams integration is coming soon. Yes — API access is available on Enterprise plans and by custom request. The API includes a recommendations endpoint. Contact [support@samsearch.co](mailto:support@samsearch.co) for access. Available on custom request. Contact [support@samsearch.co](mailto:support@samsearch.co). ## Security & Compliance SamSearch is not FedRAMP certified, but operates under FedRAMP-equivalent compliance (FairJAM). We are SOC 2 Type II certified and CMMC Level 1 compliant. CMMC Level 2 is in progress. Contact [support@samsearch.co](mailto:support@samsearch.co) to request a compliance report. No — AI models are not trained on client data. Your prompts, documents, and company information stay private. Yes — the SOC 2 Type II report is available on request under NDA. Email [support@samsearch.co](mailto:support@samsearch.co). Yes — manual FOIA requests are handled via the Live Support chat. SamSearch preserves your anonymity using a proxy/alias email address. This is an enterprise-tier feature available on request. ## Pricing & Plans No — all plans include unlimited searches, AI summaries, proposal generations, and downloads. Yes — contact [support@samsearch.co](mailto:support@samsearch.co) to arrange a pilot. Most pilots run 2–4 weeks with full access. ## Still Have Questions?
