# Partnerships

> Search 10,000+ government contractors to find teaming partners and subcontractors

The **Partnerships** page is a searchable directory of registered government contractors. Use it to find teaming partners, subcontractors, or complementary businesses to pursue opportunities together.

## Finding partners

### Search bar

Enter keywords by **capability**, **industry**, or **company name**. You can also search by **UEI** or **CAGE** code.

Results show a count such as **Showing 40 of 10,000 results (Page 1 of 250)** — 40 companies per page with numbered pagination.

### Toolbar actions

* **Export Results Page** — download the visible results page as a file
* **Clear All** — reset all filters and search

## Filters

Open the filter panel to narrow results. Filters marked **Auto-applied** are preset from your profile or a previous session.

| Search by Company Name         | Company name, UEI, or CAGE number                              |
| Business Certifications        | SBA types — WOSB, EDWOSB, 8(a), SDVOSB, VOSB, HUBZone, etc.    |
| SamSearch Score                | Slider (0–100); minimum profile strength                       |
| Has Experience?                | Yes/No — companies with documented government contract history |
| NAICS                          | Multi-select by industry code                                  |
| Accepts Government Credit Card | Vendors that accept government credit cards                    |
| Location                       | City and State dropdowns                                       |

## Reading a company card

Each search result card shows:

| **Company Name**               | Links to the full profile                                  |
| **Score**                      | SamSearch Score (0–100); may be blank if insufficient data |
| **Location**                   | City, state, ZIP                                           |
| **Established**                | Year founded + relative age                                |
| **Business Type**              | SAM.gov entity type codes (tilde-separated)                |
| **Status**                     | **A** = Active in SAM.gov; **E** = Expired registration    |
| **UEI**                        | Unique Entity Identifier                                   |
| **Primary NAICS**              | Primary industry code and description                      |
| **Ownership & Certifications** | Up to 8 certification badges                               |
| **Email / Phone / Website**    | Direct contact details                                     |
| **View Details**               | Opens the full company profile                             |

  **Business Type codes** are SAM.gov entity identifiers (e.g., `2X` = For Profit Organization, `8W` = Women-Owned Small Business). See [sam.gov](https://sam.gov) for the full code list.

  **Status E** — expired SAM.gov registrations cannot be awarded federal contracts. Prioritize **Status A** partners for active bidding.

## Company profile detail page

Click **View Details** to open `/partnership/[UEI]`.

### Company Overview

Address, Phone, Email (copy icon), Website (external link), SBA Profile link, UEI (copy icon), CAGE Code (copy icon), Year Established, Business Type, Status.

| **NAICS Codes**           | All registered NAICS codes (not just primary)                                     |
| **Contacts**              | Individual contacts with titles and details                                       |

## Partnerships on contract pages

  **Tip:** On any [Federal contract page](/features/contract-overview/federal), scroll to the **Partnerships** tab. SamSearch suggests companies whose NAICS codes and certifications align with that specific opportunity — filtered to your bid strategy needs.

This is a separate entry point to the same partner data as the Partnerships directory — useful when you already have a contract in hand and need teammates fast.

## Partnership types (reference)

Brief definitions for common teaming structures — formal agreements are outside SamSearch; consult counsel for legal documents.

| Type                  | Summary                                                                         |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Teaming Agreement** | Partners bid together on a specific opportunity with defined roles              |
| **Joint Venture**     | Combined entity or agreement for larger contracts requiring merged capabilities |
| **Mentor-Protégé**    | Large business mentors a small business under SBA programs                      |

## Tips

1. Use the **SamSearch Score** slider to focus on stronger profiles
2. Filter by **NAICS** to match your exact industry
3. Copy **UEI** and **CAGE** from the profile page for teaming paperwork
4. Check **Past Performance** before outreach to verify relevant contract history
5. Use the **Partnerships tab** on Federal contract pages for opportunity-specific suggestions
