# Leads

> Browse and manage pre-filtered opportunity leads by type

## What are Leads?

**Leads** are opportunities you've saved from Search that you want to keep track of. They're organized by opportunity type so you can quickly focus on the category you're working in.

## Opportunity Types

Use the dropdown in the top left to switch between lead types:

## Using the Leads Dashboard

### Switching Lead Types

Select the opportunity type from the **dropdown in the top left** to view your saved leads for that category. Your selection is remembered between sessions.

### Exporting Leads

Click the **Export** button (top right) to download your leads for the selected type. The export is named automatically based on the type (e.g., `federal-leads-export`).

  The Export button only appears when there are leads available for the selected type.

### Lead Table

Each lead type displays a table with columns relevant to that opportunity category — such as title, agency, due date, contract value, and status. Click any row to open the full opportunity detail.

## How to Save Leads

### From Search Results

1. Find an opportunity using Search
2. Click on it to view the details
3. Click the **star icon** to save it to your leads
4. It will appear in the Leads page under the matching opportunity type

### From Contract Pages

1. Open any opportunity detail page
2. Click **Save Opportunity**
3. Optionally click **Start Journey** to begin tracking it in Journey Hub

## Lead to Journey Workflow

1. **Save the Lead** — Bookmark any interesting opportunity from Search
2. **Review Details** — Open the opportunity and read through requirements
3. **Assess Fit** — Determine if it matches your capabilities
4. **Start Journey** — Create a journey in Journey Hub to begin your capture process
5. **Track Progress** — Use Journey Hub to manage tasks, proposals, and deadlines

## Common Questions

**Q: How do I save a lead?**
A: Click the star icon on any opportunity in Search results or on an opportunity's detail page.

**Q: How do I remove a lead?**
A: Click the star icon again on a saved opportunity to unsave it. You can always find and re-save it from Search.

**Q: Can I export my leads?**
A: Yes — click the Export button at the top right of the Leads page. It's available when leads exist for the selected type.

**Q: What happens when I switch lead types?**
A: The table updates to show your saved leads for that category. Your selection is saved automatically.
